It’s closing in on the holiday season and most of the last two weeks of December are booked. We like to watch “Christmas With The Kranks” because in many ways it tells a story we see every winter in the Florida Keys.  The human migration will begin very soon to fly south.  This movie is a delight and based on a short novel written by John Grisham “Cancelling Christmas”.  Giving up traditions and taking a cruise south sounds more enticing these days for those currently struggling with the winter snow storms.  Key West is usually top choice for those experiencing severe snow and ice by December or sooner just cannot take another day of the grey days and cold weather.  Most of the year Key West stays warmer than anywhere in the country even on a cloudy day in December.  Colors are just as vibrant as any artist’s imagination from any time period.  Are you planning your winter escape away by now?  Give us a call and find a way to set aside three to five days for a winter break.  Keep your traditions-  as most of the holiday charter sell out months in advance.  Taking a sailboat time charter is more affordable than you may think.  Give us a call!

Sailing Away – Key West Beach Babies All Through The Year

How to enjoy a #Keywestsailingadventure – choose to relax, sail, fish, swim, snorkel – want more adventure?   Stay on anchor for a couple of days, then come back and finish your time charter dockside and tour downtown.  Still some openings around Thanksgiving and some great dates during the whole month of December.  Make sure to plan an extra day or two during any holiday.  We need at least three days so we are staffed properly as everyone loves those long weekends and two nights is just not enjoy to see and do it all.

Dog Days Summertime Sailing Boy Scouts

Since 1995, Key West Sailing Adventures, Inc, www.keywestsailingadventure.com  are your leaders in the custom #floridasailingexpeditions and #floridakeysadventurevacations in Key West.  Frequently imitated often attempts at being duplicated, we are very excited to be given the opportunity to be a part of the #boyscoutsofamerica #flkeysseabase sailing camp program.  The Scouts enjoy two ports of call first sea base where they have an exciting program including kayaking around the marina, snorkeling in the bay,  team building, home base where the entire family can stay on land in #islamoradakey then nearby #marathonkey.  First the groups arrive and settle in for orientation then partake of many on land activities before meeting one of our two captains and depart from their sea base each Saturday and anchor off the first evening to get acclimated with their program on the sea.  #floridakeysfishing, #floridakeyssnorkeling and just the natural setting create a #floridaexpedition exploring the #barrierreefs #dolphinwatching famous #floridakeysfishing are exhilarating experiences that we know will impact the lives of these future leaders of America!

Sailing On Through FL Keys Expeditions

Summer is going to be coming to a close and some areas will be wrapping up their fun summer activities and getting ready for the fall season; sports, start of schools and colleges and a change of season.  Summer is just about all year long in the #FL Keys and Key West.

Two of our three sailboats are in service up in the #boyscoutsofamerica #seabase in #islamorada and #marathonkey two docking areas where the group with two scout masters and one of our captains dock in between sailing to the reefs or staying on the anchor.  Many already have returned to their home states, preparing for their back to school or college while relishing memories with us on a #sailboatcruise.

Since 1995 we have as a Company, enjoyed showing our charter clients the beautiful #barrierreefs around the Atlantic American Caribbean.  Your #adventurecharter or maybe you want what we call an #keywestexpedition charter can include looking for #dolphins, #reeffish and with November comes the #birdmigration in April and November birding charters.  We love it when the #seaturtles come up to the sail boat when it’s sailing along as if to say “hello, you are big for a sea turtle!”

Preparations For Sea Base Fl Keys Expedition Boy Scouts

 

Lots to get ready if you want to have two scout masters, six young sailors and our intrepid sailing captain Albert to get a sailboat clean, prepared, repaired and provisioned to take out a charter full of sleeping bags and young Boy Scouts ready to learn about the sea.

Until September 1st, many of the sailboats will be active for the annual sea base camp.
